Fix error PL2303 error code 10 for Windows 8/8.1

You will need to download the following driver Prolific Driver

Step 1: Press the window key and type device manager into the search bar and open.

Step 2: Go to ports and right click on the USB to serial converter and press update driver software.

Step 3: Press the browse my computer.

Step 4: Press let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 5: Now you need to select the driver you have downloaded from the link.

Step 6: Wait for install and you are done.
